Concert II: Dislocation and Defiance
Most of us will experience some type of dislocative state in our lives–either a psychological feeling that we don’t belong, that we are unwelcome, or a literal displacement due to forces outside of our control. For our third Main Series concert we have programmed works that acknowledge and remember the atrocities of war, hatred, and violence alongside those that inspire us to stand up against them.
